When you interview an Naturopath you are sure in for a few surprises. I had the chance to interview Shafaqat Khan who is a naturopath/herbalist of Shifa Herbs. He has been treating all sorts of illnesses over the years where he has been able to treat incurable diseases by just using the power of food and natural herbs. Shafaqat Khan has had a passion of the human body ever since he was 10. He was always intrigued about how the body worked and what food does for us on a whole. Hence when he got older and studied biology he took the path of studying herbs and food on a deeper level.
The interview was very insightful of knowing how to lose weight in your sleep as well as how water works in your body. Shafaqat Khan addressed the importance of drinking water about 10 to 15 mins before a meal to help digestion as well as helping you to gain the proper nutrients from your food, and not to ever drink water straight after a meal, better to drink at least 30 mins after in case you wash the nutrients out of your body. Shafaqat Khan also mentions that cholesterol is good for as well as what oils are bad for you. We also touched on topics like cancer and heart disease and how exercising is a stress for the body! Yes amazing news for those people who hate to exrcise!
